For several years the G.T.A.M.A. has offered monetary awards to individuals who are furthering their education. Funding for these scholarships has come from several sources.
In addition to the Canoe, Kayak, Paddleboard and poker run; Pocket Book Bingo; Professional Craft Show and the Road cleanup, families, corporations and individuals sponsor scholarships.
All scholarships are awarded based on several criterion including volunteering at our events, grade point average and need. Applications for 2021 are can be downloaded with the links below. There are two sets of applications; one is for graduating High School Seniors, the second is for individuals who already have completed at least one year of college and students in grad school.
The high school senior scholarships are The B&G scholarship fund, the Marjorie and Stoddard Bixby scholarship, The Alex and Virginia May scholarship, the James and Martha Owens scholarship, The Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association and the LC Equipment scholarship for the trades.
These High School student applications are due in the respective High School Guidance office prior to April 26th.
The scholarship for those who have already completed one year of college are The Roland Bonner Memorial scholarship, the GTAMA scholarship, the Alex and Virginia May scholarship and the GTAMA Post graduate scholarship . These applications are due to the GTAMA Scholarship Committee prior to May 1st.

Each Spring the Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association presents scholarship awards to local students from the Greater Tuckahoe area.
